President's Message

Welcome to Kensey Nash Corporation's website. We hope that you will spend a few minutes exploring these pages and get to know our company. As you will see, these are exciting times for our business.

Our Company has been built upon core technologies related to biomaterial-based products and innovative medical devices.  We produce about 4 million products each year for applications in some of the most attractive high growth markets including: Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, General Surgery and Cardiology.  These markets are large and expanding with the worldwide aging population.

We have a rich history as a leader in the development of collagen and resorbable polymer products.  We have developed highly proprietary manufacturing processes to provide these complex bioabsorbable implants. Over the years we have expanded our capabilities to add additional other biomaterials including ceramics, PEEK, polyurethane, and various metals.  Most recently we have added a capability to create extracellular matrices (ECMs), an exciting new technology. We offer our partners a source for designing, developing and manufacturing biomaterials-based devices and unique medical products.

We continue to invest heavily in research and development to build opportunities for future growth. In the Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue markets, we are applying our breadth of materials technologies to create clinically targeted devices that utilize the power of regenerative medicine to repair and replace tissue. In Orthopaedics, our Cartilage Repair product is now approved in Europe and under clinical evaluation in the US. In the Soft Tissue market we are now launching our first surgical meshes derived from our ECM technology.  Each of these product lines are in large and growing markets, have differentiated proprietary technology, are built upon our 20+ years of biomaterials expertise, and backed by strong scientific data.

It is important for us to invest in developing innovative cost-effective products that benefit the patient, the physician, healthcare institutions and third party payers. With the help of our medical advisors and business partners, we will continue to target specific areas of medicine which can benefit from our technology and innovation.
