Capabilities
Kensey Nash has developed the proprietary OPTRIX™ tissue processing technology to make extracellular matrix (ECM) products that provide a natural scaffold to reinforce and augment soft tissue defects. Because ECM materials provide an ideal environment for cell infiltration and revascularization, they are naturally incorporated and remodeled into host tissue, minimizing complications associated with permanent synthetic meshes, and eliminating donor site morbidity associated with autologous temporalis fascia transfer.
Additionally, we work directly with surgeons to develop devices that meet the demanding needs of ENT and general reconstructive procedures of the head and neck. Surgeons can choose between our unique Medeor™ Matrix and Meso BioMatrix™ products, which offer a range of strength and handling characteristics to best suit a variety of clinical applications.
